The Padres

Rochester, NY 28+ League

TEAM NAME The Padres

TEAM HISTORY

The team currently known as the Padres are an original member of the Rochester NABA.  The team was first known as CB Hawks.  After one season the team became ReMax “Carolyn’s Crew”.  There are two current members on the team who started with the original CB Hawks - Bill Mitchell and Mike Murphy.

The “Carolyn’s Crew” team existed for 5 seasons and during that time period the team was taken over by Dom Tubolino and the name was changed to the Padres.  In the 9 seasons under Tubolino, the Padres have done some excellent recruiting and have won 7 straight division titles, including 6 trips to the league championship game – winning 3 times.

In addition to Mitchell and Murphy, two other staples of the team over the last 8 years have been Craig Jones and Mark Manioci.  These two left-handed hurlers have been a major factor in the Padres success.  Other long time players over the years include Mike Havert, Bob Prorok, Jack Wheeler and Tom O’Sullivan.

The Padres have always been a close-knit, family oriented team both on and off the field, often getting wives and kids together for non-baseball events.
